MRSP will promote the highest standards in market research for improving decision making in the public and private sectors. We seek to do this by:

  • Safeguarding the interests of the Market Research industry in Pakistan
  • Improving and promoting international best practices
  • Enhance and promote the value of industry to business, commerce and society


The objectives for which the Society is established are:

  • To promote the development and use of marketing & business, social and opinion research, being recognised forms of scientific endeavour, as an important basis for effective management decisions in both public and private sectors alike.
  • To further the professional interests of members wherever they may reside and work.
  • To establish and encourage the highest technical standards and levels of professional conduct among its members.
  • To establish a code or codes of ethical practice and professional standards.
  • To study and advise on national and or international legislation and judicial decisions which may appear to affect members in their professional capacity.
  • To provide the means, through meetings, congresses, seminars, publications and other activities by which all members may extend their knowledge, widen their experience and advance their professional status.
  • To conduct or sponsor (either alone or in conjunction with any other person or body) investigations, inquiries or researches into any matters affecting the profession.
  • To represent to governments, associations and other official and unofficial bodies in all parts of the world, the views and interests of those engaged in the profession.
  • To institute, promote, support or oppose legislation or other measures affecting the profession and to take all such steps as may seem expedient for altering and improving any existing laws, customs or usages affecting the profession.
  • To represent the profession in its relations with governments, associations and other official and unofficial bodies in all matters affecting the profession or the welfare of these engaged therein.

  • To collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to the profession.
  • To co-operate or combine with any other Body or Bodies for the purpose of promoting any of the objects of the Society.
  • To provide and collect funds from the Members or others, and to receive voluntary contributions for the purpose of carrying on or furthering the objects, of the Society.
  • To use the funds of the society for the purpose of executing or promoting any of the objects of the Society as the Council may think fit.
  • To engage in any other activity or activities as may be consistent with the interests of members.
  • To take such actions as are considered necessary to raise the status or to promote the efficiency of the Society.
  • To do all other such lawful acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any one of them.
